Tenang by-election goes high-tech with iPad

LABIS: Modern gadgets have always been an important tool in daily tasks but for the MCA, the iPad Tablet computer marketed by Apple is the current gadget that’s assisting its campaigners.

The party has sent four iPad teams from its headquarters to assist campaigners on the ground to carry out tasks such as helping voters check their polling station while on their house-to-house campaign.

“This by-election is the first time we are using this gadget. It’s basically still on trial with some modules we created,” said MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The teams’ tasks include compiling various data, using the modules developed by the MCA’s technology department, as well as to record feedback and complaints from the public. — Bernama
