KUALA LUMPUR: The Government’s electronic procurement system, ePerolehan, will allow suppliers to trade efficiently and confidently in a secure online environment.
ePerolehan operator Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC) said the benefits are enjoyed by both users and the Government because the time spent on searching for goods or services has been shortened via implementation of the electronic catalogue.
Its head of events, Nazaruddin Mohamed Amin, said suppliers can now register and renew their Ministry of Finance (MOF) application anytime and anywhere.
“ePerolehan has proven that it is able to help suppliers expand their business, especially with government agencies. Managing and processing purchase orders have also been streamlined, promoting faster procurement cycles and faster payment processes,” he said.
CDC said ePerolehan organised an awareness programme in Penang recently for government suppliers. The programme was aimed at educating and assisting government suppliers in using ePerolehan.
“The participants were enlightened on how ePerolehan can leverage on best business practices, save time and costs, as well as promote faster payments,” read the CDC statement.
The programme, a collaboration between MOF and CDC, attracted more than 200 registered and non-registered suppliers. — Bernama
