PETALING JAYA: Canon Marketing Malaysia has a new XEED SX7 Mark II projector out, which promises to bring lots of high-end features at a reasonable price.

For starters, the projector offers a brightness of 4,000 lumens, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and is capable of projecting images up to 300in across from just nine metres from the screen.

Among the enhanced features is a new Photo mode, where the projector senses ambient indoor lighting and adjusts the tone of the projected images to compensate, so that photos always look as intended in any situation.

The projector also offers a DICOM simulation mode, a medical display standard which displays X-Rays, CAT scans and MRIs correctly without the need for a DICOM compliant monitor.

The projector’s native resolution is 1,400 x 1,050-pixels (SXGA+) and comes with DVI, RGB and Composite inputs.

Pricing was not available at press time.
