KUALA LUMPUR: Epson has introduced two new projectors — the EB-450wi ultra short throw interactive projector and EH-TW4500 home theatre projector.
The EB-450wi can be anchored close to the wall and project large images at up to 97in. It eliminates common problems for presenters and teachers such as eye glare from standing in front of the projector and interference from shadows casted on the screen, Epson said.
The projector can also be hooked up to a PC or Mac to run interactive features. Third-party applications can run on top of the board so presenters can easily use the optional digital infrared pen to draw, write or manipulate on-screen objects.
Unlike other solutions with interactive whiteboards, the EB-450wi’s interactive capabilities can be utilised on any surface, turning plain walls or a regular whiteboard into interactive screens for presenters and students to interact with, the company said.
With a brightness of 2,500 lumens, images can still be viewed even under bright lights. Other features include built-in speakers for video presentations.
Movie enthusiasts who want to watch their favourite flicks in full HD on a their wall may want to consider the EH-TW4500.
Featuring a contrast ratio of 200,000:1, the EH-TW4500 delivers deep contrasting colours and sharp high resolution images of up to 1080p resolution, Epson claimed.
The home theatre system comes equipped with vertical and horizontal lens shift function that allows for flexible positioning and installation. Users are able to place the projector off-centre and still be able centre videos and images on their wall.
The EH-TW4500 has lots of connectivity options with two HDMI inputs as well as component video, S-video and VGA.
Both projectors incorporate Epson’s 3LCD projection system technology that the company Epson claimed displays bright natural colours.
The EB-450wi is priced at RM9,999 while the EH-TW4500 costs RM13,688.
