KUALA LUMPUR: With the World Cup so close, there is another kind of footie fever hitting town the weekend of June 5 and 6 — football videogame FIFA10.

Enthusiasts are invited to come and compete at the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) 2010 Malaysia Qualifiers, at the Bangsar Shopping Centre concourse area.

The winner will represent the country at the ESWC Grand Finals in France later in the month.

ESWC 2010 Malaysia licensee and tournament organiser Go International Group is offering the Champion FIFA10 Player an all-expenses paid flight, hotel plus autoberth, trip valued at RM9,000.

In addition to that, eight strategy-game Defense of the Ancients teams will battle it out at the FTZ Cyber Café in Subang SS15 on the same weekend. One team will win an autoberth in France, valued at RM20,000.
