PETALING JAYA: A simple press of a button is all it takes for the Kodak M530 camera to upload pictures and videos to a variety of social networking and video-sharing sites, online image repositories as well as e-mail.

All a user needs to do is hook the camera up to a PC with an Internet connection and then press the camera’s Share button, Kodak said.

Once connected, the camera is also able to automatically transfer images and videos to the computer.

For easy searching when browsing through hundreds of images online, the camera allows users to tag pictures directly before uploading.

As far as camera functions go, the M530 offers a 12-megapixel resolution with 3x optical and 5x digital zoom lens. It also comes equipped with a 2.7in LCD screen with Kodak Color Science Technology for brighter and more vibrant images, the company said.

Apart from still images, the camera can record VGA videos at 30 frames per second. Its innovative Smart Capture feature also helps users to automatically identify the scene and adjust camera settings for a great picture in just about any environment, claimed Kodak.

Also available is face recognition, which allows users to tag up to 20 faces.

The M530 stores images on an SD card and the camera can support up to 16GB capacity cards. It also has 32MB of built-in memory.

The camera retails for RM599 and users have a choice of red, green, blue, orange and carbon colours.
