Popular band Nidji is Mister Potato brand ambassador

INDONESIAN band Nidji is now the brand ambassador of Mister Potato.

Mamee-Double Decker (M) Berhad sales and marketing deputy manager Pierre Pang said they chose to collaborate with the band due to their popularity all over Asia.

“This (collaboration) fuses two different industries — music and football, and brings together three global names Nidji, Mister Potato and Manchester United,” he said, adding that they plan to collaborate with other artistes in the future.

Winning collaboration: Indonesian band Nidji are the new ambassadors for Mister Potato.

There are some activities and campaigns that will involve Nidji, Mister Potato and Manchester United. Among them are to develop grassroot football and give underprivileged kids the chance to go to Old Trafford.

Nidji was established 10 years ago and is led by Giring (vocals), Rama and Ariel (guitarists), Adri (drummer), Andro (bassist) and Run-D (keyboardist).

The band is expected to release its international album Victory in Australia soon.

When asked if they were fans of Manchester United and football, Giring replied, “Who isn’t?”

“We are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year and this (being a brand ambassador) is the best present, we are very excited about it.

“Music inspires people, football inspires people and we hope to inspire the younger generation,” he said.

Mister Potato is the global snack partner for the Manchester United Football Club.
