UNIFI BUSINESS recently unveiled Impak Biz—a digital evaluation programme to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) owners.
The launch, which was held on Aug 19 at Hotel Imperial, Kuching, Sarawak, was officiated by Deputy Digital Minister Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong.
Also in attendance were Unifi consumer strategy and business chief commercial officer Shanti Jusnita Johari, vice president Dr Mohamad Yusman Ammeran and CTOS data systems chief operating officer Lee Shin Mei.
Recognising a need for digitalisation for MSMEs, Impak Biz provides business owners with a complete digital health check, helping them understand their business performance by identifying lagging areas and needed improvements through a personalised report with actionable insights and premium digital support.
The personalised health report provides insights into their digital readiness, summarised under four key areas: engagement and retention, operations, data and analytics, and strategy.
These tools support MSMEs in addressing the challenges they face, including fierce competition in the domestic and global market, evolving customer needs and high operating costs.
From roadside vendors to established businesses, businesses of all sizes can access Impak Biz’s tailored digital solutions—for free.
“MSMEs are central to Malaysia’s digital future. With Impak Biz, we are giving MSMEs a clear starting path forward to digitalise their business and reap its benefits through free digital assessments, access to expert guidance, and tools that improve productivity, financial credibility and online reach.
“This initiative is about making digital transformation more practical, inclusive and achievable for every business, regardless of size or sector,” said Shanti.
To kickstart Impak Biz, MSMEs only need to complete a short evaluation of less than 20 questions. The report is delivered instantly upon completion.
A certified digital consultant from Unifi Business will reach out within three working days to discuss the report and provide personalised digital solutions based on the findings.
The first 3,000 MSMEs to complete the valuation receive support and perks from Unifi Business’s strategic partners, including:
> Seven days of free access to Rtist creative marketing services worth RM250
> CTOS business report worth RM84 to gain business financial insight
> Complimentary halal certification support by Maybank Islamic worth RM5,000 to ease compliance, plus a free halal readiness assessment and access to B2B halal marketplace
> Preferential microfinancing from BSN with competitive rates starting 3.5% per annum, exclusive for micro businesses, among other benefits.
Beyond tailored solutions and expert support, business owners have the opportunity to compete for an Impak Biz Award category that recognises their digital transformation journey—a platform to showcase their achievements on the national stage.
To be considered for the award, business owners need only submit a write-up or video. The award ceremony is scheduled for Q4 2025.
This launch reinforces Unifi Business’s commitment to drive inclusive digitalisation for MSMEs nationwide and TM’s ambition to become a digital powerhouse by 2030, living up to its motto as the preferred digital partner for business.
The Impak Biz initiative is backed by a consortium of government agencies, media leaders, financial institutions and private sector entities, including Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), SME Corp Malaysia, CTOS, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), Maybank Islamic Bhd and Astro Awani.
Ipsos has been appointed as the official research partner, while Rtist is the initiative’s design solutions partner.
