Discover why you need the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition

The HUAWEI MatePad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition aims to transform how users read, write and create with their digital devices.

TECHNOLOGY continues to bridge the gap between the virtual and physical worlds, creating experiences that seamlessly blend the two, with tablets standing out as prime examples of how innovation can transform our daily activities.

Once considered mere entertainment devices, modern tablets are evolving into versatile tools that rival traditional PCs in both functionality and performance.

With advancements in hardware and software, these portable devices now offer user-friendly features that enhance productivity, creativity and usability on the go, reshaping the way we work, create and interact with the digital world.

The newly released HUAWEI MatePad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition exemplifies this trend, offering a glare-free display and enhanced usability for work and leisure.

Easy on the eyes

The hallmark of HUAWEI’s MatePad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition is its upgraded display, which is engineered to provide a comfortable reading and writing experience.

The display features a magnetically controlled multi-layer nano optical coating that reduces incident light reflection and enhances light transmission.

With 27 layers of soft lighting, it reduces screen reflectivity by 60%, making it significantly easier on the eyes.

The tablet’s exclusive colour mapping algorithm also adjusts the mapping between screen brightness, colour and colour temperature for true-to-life colour reproduction, recreating the paper-like reading experience.

What’s more is that its 144Hz refresh rate ensures a smooth, high-definition visual experience, allowing users to browse through content with ease.

Create with GoPaint

The tablet is also HUAWEI’s first to feature the powerful and easy-to-use painting tool, GoPaint, which brings professional-level digital art capabilities to users.

The GoPaint app has a unique digital paper simulation that allows users to apply multiple paper textures, based on their art style, and adjust the parameters of textures and shadows to create a realistic painting experience on tablets.

It also includes preloaded textures, for styles like oil painting, watercolour and ink, that eliminate the need for searching for additional textures online.

With over 100 types of brushes, GoPaint offers diverse and customisable options for artists, while the app’s increased canvas layer capacity – up to 320 layers – allows for more complex and detailed artwork curation.

The app also includes an array of quick gestures and shortcuts to enhance efficiency, as users can undo, redo and touch-and-hold colour capture, among other gestures.

Enhanced productivity

The sleek and lightweight HUAWEI MatePad 11.5s PaperMatte Edition excels in productivity with its Smart Office features.

The brand states that using the HUAWEI M-Pencil (3rd Gen), powered by NearLink, offers ultra-low latency and 10,000 pressure sensing levels, and enables precise drawing – even through 20 sheets of paper.

The HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard allows the tablet to transform into three modes – Laptop Form, Split Form and Studio Form – to allow users to set up the tablet in a style that best suits their intended use.

Additionally, PC-level WPS Office provides a robust suite of tools, including a computer-like user interface, keyboard and mouse interactions, formula insertion, gridlines and PivotTable.

It can even manage multiple document handling through WPS Writer, making it versatile for tasks involving Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel. In normal cases, WPS apps on tablets offer the “view only” functionality for these types of documents.

HUAWEI Notes also enhances learning capabilities, allowing users to capture audio alongside their notes, and make use of quick and intuitive note-taking features such as tapping twice to undo and tapping three times to restore deleted items.
