Closer to home and ahead of its official release in Malaysia in April, HONOR has handpicked locals to be the very first to experience the anticipated HONOR Magic5 Pro.
Known as the HONOR Magic Experiencers, they will do a dive deep into the product development process and are among the first to explore the innovative Magic OS 7.1 system.

Toh used HONOR Magic5 Pro to capture a cat jumping off a chair – turning a moment that could have been missed with the blink of an eye to a movie snapshot.
Groundbreaking imaging technology
HONOR Magic5 solves the millisecond lag after pressing the shutter when taking photos by incorporating the Falcon Triple Main Camera.
This boosts double cache to a maximum 1500 milliseconds, whereby AI will select the best among copious images captured a second before and 0.5 seconds after pressing the shutter – eliminating any delays during the capture process.
HONOR Magic Experiencer Wildan Toh is amazed with the falcon capture feature.
“This ‘beast’ phone could turn your movement into an action movie snapshot. It captured the actions clearly in a blink of an eye,” he said.
Meanwhile, Alan Ong described the HONOR Magic5 Pro features as “magic”.
“I was shocked to see the photos, every single detail was captured. This is a simple way to capture professional shots” he said.
Edmund compared HONOR Magic5 Pro to other smartphones to identify which capture and freeze high speed motion pictures stunningly.
Another HONOR Magic Experiencer Edmund JP said the AI-assisted Falcon Capture feature captures and freezes high speed motion. The shutter speed was lightning fast, perfectly capturing and “freezing” the fan blades motion in stunning detail.
“It's not just in low light that the HONOR Magic5 Pro shines - it's a true master of high-speed photography as well. I can't wait to see what else this camera can do!” he said.
What’s more, Wira Hidayat said another exciting feature that HONOR Magic5 Pro has is the Falcon Capture Algorithm which can detect motion and capture the moment automatically.
This is thanks to an AI network trained with more than 270,000 images, AI Motion Sensing Capture enables the camera to recognise varied scenarios precisely, intelligently identify the highlight point in each scenario and help users automatically capture the best moment in certain scenarios such as running, jumping and smiling among others.
With the improved capabilities from Ultra-Fusion Computational Optics, the HONOR Magic5 Pro improves image clarity by up to 29.5% and improves imaging capabilities from 3.5x-100x – delivering images in stunning detail and clarity for full focal length.
Edwin Liew tested out the HONOR Magic5 Pro by taking a series of zoom photos at night, where he said HONOR Magic5 Pro was the ultimate flagship smartphone of 2023.
“HONOR Magic5 Pro is equipped with a 50MP Periscope Telephoto camera, supporting 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. No matter how far the building is, it captured every detail,” he said.

The HONOR Magic5 series stands out beyond its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip as a strong standard, offering a new ultra-high-density battery after careful balancing works between the weight and body thickness.
With a large 5100mAh battery and 66W HONOR SuperCharge, the series delivers a battery life that is sure to satisfy even the most power-hungry of users.
HONOR Magic Experiencer Foo Tzen Fung said he drove from Bukit Mertajam to Kuala Lumpur using Spotify and Waze throughout the journey.
“HONOR Magic5 Pro has done a great job on battery life, it reached seven hours and 43 minutes screen-on time, with absolutely no low battery anxiety,” he said.
Concurring, Ahmed Khamis said the HONOR Magic5 Pro has unleashed the power of Magic with a strong battery life - “goodbye to overnight charging,” he said.
