WHEN it comes to finding that dream job, top candidates would place emphasis on finding the company that can fulfill their needs the best. After all, top talents would be on the lookout for organisations that can help them grow in their future career and provide the resources they would need to reach their full potential.
With this in mind, the Graduates’ Choice Award (GCA) – Malaysia’s most authoritative graduate employer branding award – has announced the nation’s Most Preferred Graduate Employers To Work For in 2022. Employers are given recognition for their dedication and efforts in enhancing their branding in public and private universities across Malaysia.
GCA 2022 saw over 23,000 Malaysian undergraduates nationwide voting. This represents the largest consensus of young Malaysian voices, capturing their future employment preferences and attributes from a variety of aspects – including their most preferred employer.
“For the fourth year running, through the Graduates' Choice Award, Malaysian university students have made their voices heard,” said Talentbank founder and chief executive officer Ben Ho on the findings.
“The results of the GCA 2022 are set to be a vital guide and tool for the millions of Malaysian fresh graduates as they venture out into the workforce in search of their ideal job.”
Talentbank is the organiser of GCA. GCA 2022 recognised 113 organisations across 48 categories, including accounting and professional services, automotive, e-commerce, electronics, fast-moving consumer goods (FMGC), government-linked companies, pharmaceuticals and many others.
Some of the new categories introduced in GCA 2022 include advertising, analytics, broadcasting, construction, convenience store, facilities management, fintech, investment banking, luxury retail, print technology, social media, and travel booking app.
Two categories in the previous year’s GCA were divided into more specific categories for GCA 2022. The tech category was expanded to specify computer peripherals and information and communications technology (ICT), while the manufacturing category was expanded to niche employers in microprocessor, paint, and rubber.
First launched in 2018, the GCA has cumulatively reached out to over 85,000 graduates and recognised over 200 large organisations. One hundred percent of the results are determined by the votes of university students nationwide. GCA has been vital in providing actionable intelligent insights for the nation’s leading campus recruiters, and has also proven to be important in guiding young graduates to make better decisions about their employment.
GCA organiser, Talentbank, is an award-winning career discovery ecosystem focused on producing career-ready candidates and helping them towards better careers by connecting them with industry leaders that welcome prime talent.
GCA looks to continue highlighting the wants and needs of the latest generation of Malaysian graduates with the fifth edition of GCA already underway.
