Join the ranks of the world’s best students

PISA offers the Victorian Curriculum for preschool, primary and secondary education.

Peninsula International students graduated top 30% in the world

PRODUCING top students take a whole lot of commitment and hard work. To shape future talents and leaders, the education process needs to nurture today’s students’ potential to ensure they become stalwarts of society tomorrow.

In this vein, Peninsula International School Australia (PISA) in Setia Alam, Shah Alam, offers the Victorian Curriculum for preschool, primary and secondary education from preschool to Year 12.

PISA is in partnership with Peninsula Grammar, a prestigious 60-year old boarding and day school in Melbourne, Australia. Peninsula Grammar is integrally involved in the academic leadership of PISA.

Every teacher at PISA for all final-year subjects work together with the subject departments at Peninsula Grammar – such is the assurance of quality provided by PISA to their students.

All final-year students who have sat for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) exams have been graded by Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and have been placed at the top 30% of the students in the world.

ATAR is the Australian public examination equivalent of A-Levels and is internationally recognised for entrance into all universities worldwide. This means 100% of final-year students at PISA graduated in the top 30% in the world. Both teachers and students are delighted with this achievement.

PISA does not want its students to be just book-smart, which is why outside classroom activities are a crucial part of learning. It offers a holistic education with expansive co-curricular programmes coupled with personalised learning experiences.

Employing teaching strategies where each student is guided based on individual needs and learning styles, the students are then evaluated through both assignments and exams, creating one of the most effective methods in evaluating their progress.

PISA is the only school in the world outside of Melbourne, Australia to offer the entire 12 years of education based on the Victorian Curriculum.

PISA is audited by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority – a statutory authority of the government of Victoria, which is responsible for the provision of curriculum and assessment programmes for students.

PISA is also monitored by Peninsula Grammar, an independent school in Victoria, renowned for upholding an excellent track record. As such, PISA adheres to the highest standards of education associated with Peninsula Grammar’s long tradition of academic excellence.

Other VCE highlights for Peninsula International School Australia are:

  • One student recognised as the top student and placed in the top 10% in the world. Congratulations are in order for Kwan Juin Hao.

  • One student achieved a perfect score of 50.

  • 50% of PISA’s students have finished in the top 20% in the world.

  • 100% of PISA’s students have finished in the top 30% in the world.

“I am proud to be able to call myself one of the first VCE graduates at PISA and I look forward to seeing my juniors to be outstandingly successful in the course, ” said Kwan.

“Our staff believes in the value of each individual student and are committed to their growth – from the youngest years, through adolescence to their final examinations, graduation and life beyond school.
