Shihomi on track to make ITF 100 after maiden win


PETALING JAYA: Rising tennis player Shihomi Leong gets a boost of confidence before the Malaysia Games (Sukma) as she clinched her first title of the year at the J60 Ipoh World Tennis Tour Juniors tournament.

The win was 17-year-old Shihomi’s first International Tennis Federation (ITF) title after she defeated compatriot Saw Jo-Leen 6-2, 7-5 in the final at Arena Tennis in Ipoh, Perak, yesterday.
