American Bernarda Pera won her first WTA career title last weekend in Budapest. On Saturday, she doubled her trophy total with a 6-2, 6-4 defeat of top seed Anett Kontaveit at the Hamburg European Open.
Her victory over World No. 2 Kontaveit gave Pera just her second win over a top 10 player. She previously defeated then-No. 10 Johanna Konta in the opening round of the 2018 Australian Open.
