MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Canada's Bianca Andreescu said on Friday she is healthy and ready to go for the Australian Open after her withdrawal from a WTA tuneup event this week sowed doubt she would be able to put a 15-month injury layoff behind her in Melbourne.
The 20-year-old, who has not played since the 2019 WTA Finals in Shenzhen where she retired with a meniscus tear in her left knee, is set to return in the first round against Romanian world number 138 Mihaela Buzarnescu.
