PETALING JAYA: Malaysia managed to win a bronze in the boys’ singles at the Asian Tennis Fede­ration (ATF) Under-14 Champion­ships, thanks to budding talent Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli.

Playing in the championships for the first time, 12-year-old Imran outplayed third seed Phathikone Kanyaphan of Laos 6-4, 6-2 in the bronze medal playoff in Kota Kinabalu yesterday.
