NEW YORK (Reuters) - Nick Kyrgios let his play do the talking in a first round loss to third seed Andy Murray at the U.S. Open on Tuesday but the effort was sometimes as insulting as the comments that landed the Australian bad boy in hot water last month.
During the 7-5 6-3 4-6 6-1 defeat, Kyrgios produced moments of pure brilliance that had the Arthur Ashe Stadium crowd applauding and others of such goofiness that left them utterly bewildered.
