KUALA LUMPUR: Petite Kurumi Nara of Japan can stand tall after putting a fighting display to keep the Asian challenge alive at the BMW Malaysian Open.

In a match that was delayed for two hours by heavy downpour, Nara who only stands at 1.55m came up tops against a taller opponent – Poland’s Magda Linette who towers at 1.71m, 7-5, 5-7, 7-6, (8-6) in the second round.
