KUALA LUMPUR: Crowd favourite and top seed Kei Nishikori wasted no time in booking his place in the semi-finals of the Malaysian Open for the third time – scoring a convincing 6-3, 6-0 victory over Australia’s Marinko Matosevic.

The US Open finalist gave a commanding display to seal victory in just 63 minutes much to the delight of more than 2,000 fans at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Friday.
