PETALING JAYA: The men’s doubles event at this year’s Malaysian Open tennis tournament, to be held at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil from Sept 20-28, is set to feature the strongest field since its inception in 2009.

Defending champions Eric Butorac-Raven Klaasen, who kicked off the season in grand fashion by making the Australian Open final, have confirmed their participation as have former Wimbledon and US Open doubles champions Jurgen Melzer-Philipp Petzschner.
