End the dry spell

Not done yet: Phee Jinq En will be hoping to add another medal in her sixth and final SEA Games appearance.

BANGKOK: Allen Ong won the silver in the men’s 50m freestyle in the 2003 Games in Vietnam. Daniel Bego won the men’s 100m freestyle at the 2009 Games in Laos.

Since then, Malaysia has had a dry spell in the pool and no swimmer has even made it to the podium in either of the events.
