Bertrand splashes into W-Cup final to prove his credentials for Paris

PETALING JAYA: Diver Bertrand Rhodict (pic) showed that his achievement in qualifying early for the Paris Olympics last year was no fluke after reaching the men’s 10m platform final in the first leg of the World Cup in Montreal, Canada.

The 18-year-old, who was named in the Road to Gold (RTG) programme on Thursday, came back strongly in the last two dives to secure a place in the top 12 final after finishing a creditable 11th spot in the preliminary rounds on Thursday.
