Aspiring dentist Jayden ready to push for new national mark in 400IM

Game for gruelling task: Jayden, who celebrated his 19th birthday on Sept 14, is down to swim in four events in his Asiad debut.

PETALING JAYA: The 400m individual medley is the most gruelling event in swimming but it’s also perhaps the best chance to see a national record fall in the Sports Park Aquatics Centre pool in Hangzhou.

And that task solely falls on the shoulders of aspiring dentist Jayden Tan, who will be hoping to make a successful attempt to smash the 400m individual medley national record for the second time this year.
