PETALING JAYA: Khiew Hoe Yean has shown an early indication that he will carry the torch for Malaysian swimming in the 2024 Paris Olympics after an impressive outing in Spain.
The 18-year-old clinched gold in the men’s 400m freestyle Open in a time of 3:50.77. Spain’s Miguel Duran Navia took silver in 3:52.01 while Tommy-Lee Camblong of France got the bronze with 3:52.53 at the Astralpool Spanish Swimming Championship.
