Back in the groove: Loh Zhiayi (third from right) partnered Ong Ker Ying (fourth from right) to win gold in the women’s 3m springboard synchro event at the Singapore Open diving championships ahead of local pair Fong Kay Yian-Ashlee Tan (left) and Macau’s Choi Sut Kuan-Leong Sut Chan (right).

PETALING JAYA: Diver Loh Zhiayi is not the type of person who will sink into despair.

Zhiayi, who was sidelined by an eye injury, continues to make good progress on her comeback trail with a strong performance at the Singapore Open diving championships and is now eyeing a spot in the Philippines SEA Games at the end of this year.
