Faang Der reclaims the national 400m individual medley record

I see gold: Johor’s Tia’a Faang Der posing with his gold medal in the boys’ 400m individual medley event. His time of 4:30.48 also broke the national and Games record.

SELANGOR powered their way to four gold medals but it was Johor swimmer Tia’a Faang Der who set the pool alight with a new national record and breaking a 16-year-old Games record in the boys’ 400m individual medley event.

The 20-year-old, swimming in his last Sukma, reclaimed the national record in the multi-stroke discipline by powering to gold in 4:30.48, clipping 0.37 seconds off the previous mark set by Sebastian Soon at the Asean Schools Games in Kuala Lumpur in July.
