Anderson shines but celebration with his parents will have to wait

Alone but happy: Malaysia’s Anderson Jamba posing with his two gold medals at the National Aquatic Centre yesterday.

NATIONAL para swimmer Anderson Jamba cut a forlorn figure as his teammates were surrounded by family members and loved ones.

His father Jamba Dana and mother Entin Jerimin are padi farmers back in Sri Aman, Sarawak, and could not afford to make the trip to the peninsula to watch their son race in the Kuala Lumpur Asean Para Games.
