Sim with the gold medal after setting a new SEA Games record in 400m freestyle

KUALA LUMPUR: National swimming ace Welson Sim retained his SEA Games 400m freestyle gold in style after splashing his way to new Games record of 3:50.26 at the National Aquatic Centre.

The 20-year-old held the previous Games mark of 3:53.97.

Aflah Fadlan Prawira of Indonesia came in second in 3:54.15 while Nguyen Huu Kim Son took bronze with 3:54.20.
