Swimmer Kevin and Cai Lin book their world meet places


KUALA LUMPUR: Seniors Kevin Yeap and Khoo Cai Lin rose to the occasion to book their World Championships spots in their pet events on a day Olympic hopeful Wong Jun Bin also shone as the national age-group swimming championships came to an end at the Bukit Jalil Aquatic Centre.

Kevin and Cai Lin became the first two swimmers on Sunday to meet qualifying standards for the World Championships in the three-day meet. Myanmar SEA Games gold medallist Cai Lin clocked 4:21.02 to break the meet record of 4:29.40 in the girls’ Open 400m freestyle.
