PETALING JAYA: National squash player C. Ameeshenraj got off to a shaky start at the inaugural Under-23 World Championships but pulled through to advance in Karachi, Pakistan, yesterday.
The 21-year-old endured a long-fought battle with Pakistan’s Muhammad Ammad in the opening round, but managed to win 10-12, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8 after an hour and 11 minutes at the DHA Creek Club.
