New high for Eain Yow, but Joachim rockets up


PETALING JAYA: Top Malaysian men’s squash player Ng Eain Yow, as expected, rose two rungs to a career high world No. 13 position after reaching the quarter-finals of the platinum level British Open in Birmingham last week.

But rising youngster Joachim Chuah was the man who stole the thunder with an impressive surge, moving up 50 spots to No. 164 in the latest Professional Squash Association (PSA) rankings.Just a couple of weeks ago, he was ranked 371st.
