Sehveetrraa over the moon after downing India’s Salunkhe

KUALA LUMPUR: K. Sehveetrraa kept a cool head as she notched the biggest win of her career by downing world No. 71 Akanksha Salunkhe of India to storm into the semi-finals of the Asian Qualifiers event at the Jalan Duta courts yesterday.

On paper, the 124th ranked Sehveetrraa hardly stood a chance but the 2018 British Junior Under-13 champion turned on the power to secure a 11-6, 11-5, 11-8 win in 34 minutes to reach Professional Squash Association (PSA) event semi-finals.
