Addeen and Co ready to face uphill battle against England with new zest


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia, led by Addeen Idrakie (pic), are ready for the playoffs with renewed energy to perform well with the goal of advancing further in the World Men’s Team Championships.

The team comprising world No. 65 Addeen, Sanjay Jeeva (No. 91), C. Ameeshenraj (No. 136) and Mohd Hafiz Zhafri (No. 178) started their campaign on a positive note by defeating Ireland 2-1 in their opening match on Monday before suffering a 0-3 defeat to Group A winners – Egypt – in their second group match on Tuesday to finish second with two points in the group.
