PETALING JAYA: Competing as the underdog is working wonders for squash player Goh Zhi Xuan (pic, front) in the Tuanku Muhriz Trophy.

The 18-year-old Zhi Xuan booked her spot in the second round after securing an 11-7, 9-11, 11-5, 11-5 win over joint ninth-sixteenth seed Nour Ramy of Egypt in the first round at the Tan Sri Datuk Haji Mohd Said Sports Complex in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, yesterday.
