Ainaa goes down fighting to Farida in world meet

PETALING JAYA: Debutant Noor Ainaa Amani Ampandi battled bravely against world No. 17 Farida Mohamed of Egypt before bowing out in the first round of the World Championships in Chicago on Wednesday.

The much improved Ainaa, the world No. 67, won her opening game and fought point for point against Farida before succumbing 8-11, 12-10, 12-10, 11-9.
