PETALING JAYA: National squash player Nicol David's (pic) run in the China Open came to a grinding halt after losing to Egyptian Raneem El Welily in the women’s singles quarter-finals in Shanghai.

But the 35-year-old didn't go down easy as she pushed the world No. 2 Raneem to the limit before losing 4-11, 11-7, 11-7, 8-11, 5-11 yesterday.
