Sivasangari set to nick national title in Nicol’s absence

All set: S. Sivasangari will face junior Noor Aina Amani Ampandi in the first round of the Ohana National Squash Championships today.

KUALA LUMPUR: In the absence of four-time champion Nicol David, Malaysia’s No. 2 S. Sivasangari is on course to lift her first ever national title when the 34th Ohana National Squash Championships starts today at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil.

And if the 19-year-old Kedahan lives up to expectations, she could even earn the accolade of being the youngest national champion.
