Eain Yow and Sivasangari bag top prizes at Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia Awards

KUALA LUMPUR: Youngsters Ng Eain Yow and S. Sivasangari bagged the top prizes at the Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM) Awards.

World No. 46 Eain Yow was named the Outstanding Player of the Year (Men) for 2017 on the back of a successful season in which he bagged two Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour titles.

The 20-year-old also won two gold medals at the SEA Games and ended the year as the national No. 2.

World No. 43 Sivasangari on the other hand bagged the Outstanding Player of the Year Award (Women) after also winning two PSA titles and two gold medals at the SEA Games.

Additionally, the 19-year-old also led Malaysia to a silver medal finish at the World Junior Team Championship in New Zealand last August.

The Outstanding Junior Award (Boy) went to Melaka's Siow Yee Xian while Kedahan Aifa Azman claimed the Outstanding Junior Award (Girl).

Kedah coach Jrar Aslam bagged the Coach of The Year Award.
