KUALA LUMPUR: Top seed Sanjay Singh Chal survived a scare before reaching the quarter-finals in the 10th leg of the Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit (SSJM) at the Royal Lake Club in Kuala Lumpur.

The Singapore SEA Games gold medallist was made to sweat by India’s Ranvijay Singh before prevailing 11-8, 5-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-6 in the first round.
