PETALING JAYA: World No. 1 Mohamed El Shorbagy delivered a top-notch performance to dethrone defending champion Nick Matthew and earn himself a place in the final of the Men’s World Championship in Doha, Qatar.

The 23-year-old Mohamed, who is seeking his first world title, was on song as he put Englishman Matthew to the sword with an 11-9, 11-5, 11-8 win in the semi-finals.
