Young guns are red-hot favourites to seize the honours at PGA Championship

THEY might not be the world number one but Jordan Spieth, second in the rankings, and Rory McIlroy (fourth) go into the US PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina as the favourites to lift the huge Wannamaker Trophy next Sunday.

These two young guns, aged 24 and 28 respectively, are way ahead of the field in terms of support as they prepare their assault on the fourth and final Major championship of the season.
