Alia can still fight for Olympic quota at Asian meet in Jakarta


PETALING JAYA: Alia Sazana Azahari (pic) will get another opportunity to earn an Olympic quota on merit at the Asian Olympic qualifying event in Jakarta in January after the shooter failed to do so in the Asian Championships last week.

Alia scored a respectable 581 points to finish in 14th position at the Asian meet in Changwon where the top eight shooters in the competition scored at least 584 to make the final round of the women’s 25m pistol event.
