Alia’s a hotshot in rapid round but falls short in precision

More work to be done: Alia Sazana Azahari will be competing in several local competitions to qualify for the World Championships in Baku from Aug 14-Sept 3.

PETALING JAYA: Alia Sazana Azahari produced a quality display in the rapid round but the precision round remained her bane again as the Malaysian could only shoot 565 points in the women’s 25m pistol qualifying rounds at the World Cup in Cairo yesterday.

The precision round, held under chilling conditions at the outdoor range on Tuesday, saw Alia amassing only 265 points to be placed 50th out of 53 shooters.
