New national shooter Haritz not thinking about competing

PETALING JAYA: Haritz Iklil Hessly Hafiz is one air rifle shooter who is big on self-belief. The self-belief has, after all, driven Haritz to a spectacular display in the men’s 10m air rifle event at the Selangor Shooting Championships in February when the 20-year-old upstaged national shooters Mohd Ezuan Nasir Khan and Mohd Lutfi Othman to win the gold medal.

That performance earned him a place in the national squad.
