City can strike down misfiring Reds

Manchester City are on a roll and I expect them to continue their form against a misfiring Liverpool who are aware that a defeat will severely dent their title hopes. For me, City players are all-rounders and they are solid as a unit with all the players giving their best – thanks to manager Pep Guardiola’s tactics. They have players like Ruben Dias, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero who are all match-winners on their day. City have the psychological edge as Liverpool have been left reeling due to injuries to their key defenders. This is the best time for the Citizens to pull one over the Kops.

Being a United supporter, it is a real joy to see the Red Devils’ recent run and form, especially the 9-0 thrashing of Southampton in the English Premier League on Wednesday. They have made some tactical changes and it is working wonders going by the recent big win. I know this will not be an easy game because Everton have quality players in Dominic Calvert Lewin and James Rodriguez. United will be banking on Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay to grab full points. Fernandes will be the man tasked to get the goals while McTominay should be able to stifle Everton’s creative threat Rodriguez. It will be a great match with United coming out tops.

Predicted score: 1-3

If the Gunners start with Nicolas Pepe, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, they will have a good chance of avenging their 3-0 loss to the Villans at the Emirates. In the beginning stages of the league, I was despondent over Arsenal’s prospects in the league, but in recent weeks, they have looked good. Even in the recent 1-2 defeat to Wolves, they showed character. Aston Villa are a top side, especially with Jack Grealish being the central orchestrator but if Thomas Partey shackles him down, I sense an Arsenal victory in the making. I am praying hard for a victory to the Gunners to revive their quest to play in Europe.
