(Reuters) -England hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie has been cleared to play in the November test against Australia after the red card he received for a dangerous tackle playing for his club Sale Sharks was overturned.

An independent panel reviewed video footage of the incident involving head contact and decided the 32-year-old Cowan-Dickie's sending-off should be rescinded.

England host Australia at Twickenham on November 1 in the Autumn Nations Series before taking on Fiji, New Zealand and Argentina.
