(Reuters) -Former All Black Pita Gus Sowakula has been included in Fiji's squad for tests against England, France and Spain next month.

The blindside flanker has played for provincial side Taranaki and Waikato Chiefs in Super Rugby, and made two test appearances for New Zealand in 2022, both against Ireland, before switching allegiance to Fiji.

The Clermont-based 30-year-old has already represented Fiji in basketball when he competed at the 2012 Oceania Youth Championship.

Sowakula is one of three new additions to the Fiji squad alongside props Tim Hoyt and Atunaisa Sokobale.

They begin their tour against England at Twickenham on November 8, followed by games against France in Bordeaux a week later and Spain in Malaga on November 22.
