Rugby-Australia's Hooper and Kerevi lead nominations for player of the year

(Reuters) - Australia captain Michael Hooper and team mate Samu Kerevi led the nominations for the men's player of the year while scrumhalf Antoine Dupont became the first Frenchman to be shortlisted for the award since 2012, World Rugby announced on Monday.

The trio will be up against England lock Maro Itoje, who won his 50th cap in the victory against Australia at Twickenham on Saturday.
