TOKYO (Reuters) - Rugby World Cup organisers were confident they were in good shape as they entered the final stretch of preparations for the tournament on Thursday, 50 days out from the opening match between hosts Japan and Russia.
Over 400,000 fans from around the world are expected to descend on Japan during the Sept. 20-Nov. 2 tournament, the first World Cup to be held outside of rugby's traditional heartlands.
