SANDAKAN: NZ Borneo Eagles emerged champions of the Borneo Sevens Rugby International Championships after beating Australia’s Tribe 7S 19-14 in a thrilling final.

The Eagles trailed 7-14 in the first half, but stormed back to clinch victory at the IJM Eagles Rugby Club here on Sunday. They took home US$10,000 (RM44,000).
